We are trying to combine repairs at Landštejn Castle with visitor operations.

The castle remains accessible, though the repair work is being relocated to the narrowest point along the visitor path.

In 2026, the contractor accomplished a significant amount of work. Finishing touches are currently being applied to the interior walls in the castle courtyard. The team successfully navigated both structural challenges and unexpected discoveries—the kind that invariably slow down the construction process.

Final adjustments are being made to the outer face of the Romanesque wall near the ticket office; the scaffolding here is set to be removed before winter, ensuring an unobstructed view of the castle from the outside.

Inside the castle, the scaffolding will remain for nearly another two years, gradually shifting along the visitor route. This phased approach will allow for the completion of repairs to all walls lining the visitor corridors by the summer of 2028.
